Withdrawal policy

This policy explains how withdrawals from Naija AI accounts work, what we check before releasing funds, and what you can do if a withdrawal is delayed. It complements the method tables on the Deposit & withdrawal methods page; where the two overlap, the rules below govern. By requesting a withdrawal you accept this policy.

1. Introduction and your agreement

Withdrawals are the part of the service users care about most, so we keep the rules short and public. This document sets out the available methods, the timelines we work to, the checks that apply and your responsibilities. It forms part of the terms under which you use the platform, alongside the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Nigerian law.

2. Available withdrawal methods

You can withdraw to a Nigerian bank account by instant NIP transfer, to the Visa or Mastercard you used for deposits, where your issuer supports refunds, or to your OPay wallet. NIP transfer supports any Nigerian bank, so a card deposit does not lock you into card withdrawals forever: after your first successful card refund or at your request, our team can confirm a bank account as your primary withdrawal destination. Digital-asset transfers to external addresses are not part of the standard withdrawal flow on this platform.

3. Processing times

NIP and OPay withdrawals are normally completed within 24 hours of approval, and often within a few hours on business days. Card refunds take 1 to 3 business days because the final step sits with your issuing bank. A request submitted before 15:00 WAT on a business day normally enters processing the same day. Weekends and Nigerian public holidays are not business days, so a Friday evening request effectively starts on Monday. During periods of extreme market activity processing can take longer, and we will tell you when that happens.

4. Fees and charges

Naija AI charges no withdrawal fee on any method. Costs that can appear are third-party costs: a currency conversion charge of up to 1.50% where a withdrawal must be converted, network fees on digital-asset movements where applicable, or fees your bank applies for receiving the funds. Any charge we apply or pass on is shown on the confirmation screen before you submit the request, every time.

5. Withdrawal limits

The minimum withdrawal is ₦20,000; below that, transaction costs at the payment rails make small payouts poor value for you. There is no fixed maximum, but withdrawals above ₦10,000,000 pass an enhanced review that can add one business day. New accounts in their first 30 days are limited to withdrawals of the initial deposit plus documented gains, a standard protection against account takeover in the earliest weeks of activity. Your personal manager can explain your current limits at any time.

6. Identity and AML checks

Every withdrawal goes through standard checks: the destination name must match your verified identity, and unusual patterns can trigger a review under our AML / KYC policy. These checks exist to stop stolen accounts from being emptied and to meet applicable Nigerian anti-money-laundering requirements. They are not an excuse to hold funds: a check either passes within the published timeline or you receive a specific reason and a named contact.

7. Reasons for delay or refusal

A withdrawal can be delayed or refused for specific reasons only: the destination details do not match your verified identity, your verification documents have expired or were rejected, a compliance review is open on the account, the request conflicts with an applicable legal or regulatory obligation, or a technical fault at a payment provider. We never refuse a withdrawal because markets moved against positions on your account. Where a refusal happens, you receive the reason and your route to challenge it through the Complaints procedure.

8. Your responsibility for correct details

You are responsible for the bank account number, card or wallet details you enter. Funds sent to details you supplied incorrectly can be difficult or impossible to recover, and recovery costs, where recovery is possible at all, sit with you. Check the destination on the confirmation screen before submitting: the masked account preview is there precisely so a wrong digit is caught one second before it becomes a lost transfer.

9. Cancelling or changing a request

While a request is still in "pending" status you can cancel or edit it yourself from the dashboard. Once processing starts, cancellation is no longer possible because the payment has already left for the rails; at that point you simply wait for it to arrive. If you cancel a withdrawal, the amount returns to your trading balance immediately and can be withdrawn again at any time.

10. Support with withdrawals

For any withdrawal question, write to [email protected] with your account email and the request reference. Payment questions are handled with priority during support hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00–17:00 WAT, with a first reply usually within one working hour and a status answer, not just an acknowledgement, within one business day.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as payment methods, providers or applicable requirements change. Updates take effect when the new version is published on this page, and material changes, such as a new fee or a longer timeline, are announced by email to registered users at least 14 days before they apply. The current version is always the one you are reading now; we keep no hidden internal variant of it.
